| Resolved Question: Why are white peopl not embarrassed to tell others they had to cut their hair b/c of lice? I met a cute little 5 year old girl at my job and she had the cutest boy hair cut. | Resolved Question: Step-parent adoption when biological father is not on birth certificate? My husband wants to adopt my 11 year old daughter and I could not be more thrilled! The problem is, her biological father is a complete scum bag. He was not in contact with my daughter until 3 years ago.He calls once every six months or so and has only contributed 300 dollars towards her care in her entire life. She has gone to his house a few times in the past few years. The last time she visited him, he screamed in her face and did not feed her dinner for the week that she was there. She came back with head lice and had not brushed her teeth in a week because her half sister had hidden her toothbrush. The problems go on and on and on! He called a few months ago and left a message on our answering machine saying hello and that he would call back later. We have yet to hear back from him. He is not on her birth certificate and we have not been to court for child support or visitation. Is it even necessary to get his consent for the adoption? If it helps, we are in South Carolina. |

My aunt is affected mentally for the incident which occured in the past but still she cares for me and her daughter equally. Every sunday after having bath she make me sit outside our home in open chawl on a small stool.She sits behind Me and she starts picking nits and lice from my hair. Then she apply lot of coconut oil in my hair and start combing my hair with a louse comb for nearly 1 to 2 hour.there are lots people watching this in the chawl and everyone stares at me I feel embarased.I just have to sit around and let my hair be combed with lice/nit comb.If i refuse she starts crying.Even this is not enough she then puts mogra/jui flowers/Gajra in my hair with the help of a pin which i should keep all the day.I just have to sit at home with heavly oiled Hair and wearing Gajras in my hairs. She Also sends me out to buy groceries and i have to go anyway in such condition.This happens every sunday and all holidays.I have tried all possible ways but in vain. i cannot leave them alone at no possible cause. The problem is not with the louse. she does that even if i dont have lice in my hairs. ( 6 for me and 6 for my sis) on my hairs.on opposing why she used all of them on me and nothing left for my sis, she told me to go to the market and buy it for my sister. all in vain i had to go to the market wearing gajras to buy gajras. I quietly left the home after watching my self in the mirror to the market .People were staring at me but most of them were used to watching me wearing gajra but this time i was wearing 12 of them. As i asked the gajra seller girl to give me 6 gajras, she was surprised to see me and told me why shoud i buy more after wearing so many.I just smiled at her and told this was not enough for me and wanted few more to wear. she laughed and asked me if i want her help to were those six and if she could add those in the bunch i was wearing. I felt embarrassed and told her that they were for my sister.she laughed and questioned me why only six for my sister and and so many for me. I answered she does not like wearing so many but i do. You want me to go into that room with all those kids and fill their every waking moment with a love for learning. And I'm supposed to instill a sense of pride in their ethnicity, modify their disruptive behavior, observe them for signs of abuse and even censor their T shirt messages and dress habits. You want me to wage a war on drugs and sexually transmitted diseases, check their backpacks for weapons of mass destruction, and raise their self esteem. You want me to teach them patriotism, good citizenship, sportsmanship, and fair play, how and where to register to vote, how to balance a checkbook, and how to apply for a job . I am to check their heads for lice, maintain a safe environment, recognize signs of antisocial behavior, offer advice, write letters of recommendation for student employment and scholarships, encourage respect for the cultural diversity of others, and, oh yeah, always make sure that I give the girls in my class 50 percent of my attention. My contract requires me to work on my own time after school and evenings grading papers. Also, I must spend my summer vacation at my own expense, working toward advance certification and a Master's degree. And on my own time you want me to attend committee and faculty meetings, PTA meetings, and participate in staff development training. I am to be a paragon of virtue, larger than life, such that my very presence will awe my students into being obedient and respectful of authority. And I am to pledge allegiance to family values and this current administration. You want me to incorporate technology into the learning experience, monitor web sites, and relate personally with each student. That includes deciding who might be potentially dangerous and/or liable to commit a crime in school. I am to make sure all students pass the state mandatory exams, even those who don't come to school regularly or complete any of their assignments. Plus, I am to make sure that all of the students with handicaps get an equal education regardless of the extent of their mental or physical handicap. And I am to communicate regularly with the parents by letter, telephone, newsletter, and report card. All of this I am to do with just a piece of chalk, a computer, a few books, a bulletin board, and a big smile AND on a starting salary that qualifies my family for food stamps! | Resolved Question: Inquiring about adoption beforehand? I will have 16 original kids in my future unmarried of course and then I would like to adopt a slew of children to complete my army of spawns where they will be raised in a well provided atmosphere where they will be affectionately cared for with the rest of my kids. However, I want my adopters to be different where they all belong to different paths and walks of life. Therefore, it might be hard to find such a child of a particular instance, so I would be glad if you can direct me to such a organization that can help find them: 1.) A British lad who was raised in the streets he has been raised in such terrible conditions his mind began to rot thus causing him to believe that he is a turn of the 20th century London chimney sweep. Although, his skin is darkened by the smoke of chimney sweeping and he has contracted head lice and quite possibly black lung he remains with a thirst for life and is an adventure seeker in the form of pickpocketing. 2.) A chubby Cambodian Buddhist whose parents were tortured by the Khmer Rouge yet he continues to live a life of uprightness and spiritual truth. 3.) The daughter of a Mongolian coal miner whom before they gave her up to adoption being that a woman was not in demand for their coal mining industry all contracted black lung and died. She lives life on a crash course basis not knowing when she will snap when life doesn't give her the necessary lemons and she lives on the edge cause of it. 4.) The son of Indian Sheiks whose parents were violently bludgeoned by the Hindu-Muslim insurrection thus causing him to live his days from thereon after as a slum-dog. He recently found a couple of rupees on the floor and went in to see Slum-dog Millionaire and has a new life perspective for himself and is thirsty for a new home. I no way, shape, or form is this a mockery of the adoption process. I am dead on balls serious in the manner and what kids like these, so if you care to help or not that's on you. | Resolved Question: Really upset and need advice? theres a girl in my school that is spreading rumors saying that i have head lice, when i dont. i just talked to my friend adn she said you know shes telling like everyone. she was acting really nice to me on the last day of school but kept calling my friends over and like saying "you shouldnt be her friend, she has lice." im afraid that no one will like me and ill be a rejct or a freak or weirdo. im not popular anyway and dont have many "in-crowd" friends, but this has gotten too far. the person that is spreading the rumor is moving and ill never see her again but she was one of the most popular girls in the school and now i think everyone knows. i need advice. im afraid i will loose the few friends i have because of a stupid rumor or the person i like will think im a complete freaak. please i need advice and speak the truth and what you truly think. dont try to make me feel better. i appreciate the help, but im sick of lies kust to hide what they really want to say just to make me feel better. tell me what you really think. its tearing me apart. also im not the prettiest girl in my school either and i dont wear much of the stylish clothes that everyone wears lately. i have a little face acne and sometimes i think that the people i like dont even know i exsist sometimes and dont think im at all pretty. one of the people i like probably hates my guts or thinks im a freak. the othe ris nice to me and talks to me and is really nice to me but im afraid that this rumor and everything that is going on will change that. i need help to make this all stop because i cant loose him. hes the first time i felt happy. i do wear makeup to cover my acne. thanks. that is true. i will tell a teacher...when school comes back on if people actually still remember..lol. i hope they forget it and thin kshes a snitch for saying that when its definetaly not true. and yes, im in grade shcool :) answer #10 is right. thank you so much! |
| Resolved Question: help how do i know if i have head lice/nits? my sons friend came over today and i have just found out she has nits/headlice. i have checked my sons hair, he is a skin head so not much to check. i couldnt see any and nothin came out on the comb but i have long hair. i checked but nothin but when will i know if i have them, please help as i have a work party 2morrow and dont wanna go if i have them. my son never came into complete hair contact but were close. help |
