Open Question: My 2 year Old Has Head Lice. HELP!!? My oldest daughter brought head lice home from school last year, and it has been a battle every since. I have done everything I can think of. I have used all of the over the counter stuff. I have tried the conditioner, and tea tree oil. I wash her sheets daily. But her head is infested with nits. She has very fine hair so the combs don't work on the nits. Now keep in mind she's 2 so the fastest way possible please.
Open Question: Should I tell my girlfriend that I have head lice? I am using a shampoo to get rid of it, but it doesn't seem to be working yet. She is coming over tonight, and I'm afraid that if I tell her, she won't want to be affectionate, if you catch my drift. I will make sure that I don't scratch my head when she's in the room. Also, if I use the shampoo just before she comes over, that should kill the live lice. She can't catch anything from the nits (eggs), right? And if she does catch head lice from me, would that be considered an STD?
Open Question: I've got head lice.no bugs, but nits? I've been using the shampoo, And the bugs are dead and gone, my head doesn't itch, and the nits are dead.I need a hair cut BAD. Will they still cut my hair, even though i have those nits?
Open Question: Do head lice get frazzled? I just had a thought, about girls with nits. Do nits get burn't to a crisp and die if they are straightened over with Straighteners on the hair or can they drown? I would of thought this would be possible, but I am confused if they don't. Just an odd random question lol
Open Question: I have thinning/loss of hair, itchy scalp, and lots of dandruff? It sucks, and I don't know what to do about it. I have been using Nizoral but it does not seem to be helping. Could this be several problems, or could it all be related to one problem? The hair loss/thinning seemed to have started before, but more recently I have noticed a lot of dandruff and itchy scalp that won't go away, no matter how often I use Nizoral (and I have within the past few days started keeping the Nizoral on my scalp for several minutes before rinsing). I don't want to use Head & Shoulders since I hear that this causes hair thinning also. As for my hair loss, I have been trying Rogaine for a few months, but I don't know how much it is helping (but I do admit that I miss applications quite often). A couple of days ago I read that I should start taking a B-Complex vitamin to help with hair loss, so I just started doing this. If this doesn't work, I will probably try Propecia. Any advice for me? Being that they started at different times, I am skeptical if they are due to the same cause, but maybe it could be? Could it be head lice or something? Thanks! As Jackolantern commented, I don't really eat that many sugary foods, but I do eat a lot of fatty foods though (probably not the healthiest), but I am still very thin. And as Saucy commented, could a thyroid problem cause all 3 of these symptoms? I did just a few days ago start taking a B-complex vitamin and a regular multivitamin, but I could go to the doctor and get my blood checked.

Open Question: Head Lice ????????????????????????????????//'s? Okay, I'm really embarrased by this. But in all honesty I couldn't help it. Recently my Brother and I went over to our sister's house and spent a weekend with her. We went over to a little get together for New Year's, and her daughter *my niece* seemed to catch a case of head lice. We didn't know until the next day when my Sis found a live bug in my niece's hair. So we did the mayonaise trick, but we were told to leave it on for only 30 min. She said it didn't look like my bro and I had it, but she did a half ass job looking at our hair. Any how, we proceeded to clean the entire house with the help of her husband. After it was all said and done she said I looked good. But she found a live bug in her daughter's hair again. So it leaves me to think that possibly we could still have it, if we ever did. And seeing as we were there for 4 days, we probably had it. Now we are at our place, and I found a bunch of whitish dandruff looking things in my Brother's hair. I later found a whitish couple "dots'' in my eyebrow. Earlier that day my brother pulled a clearish little flat thing out of his eyebrow. What we are finding now are really easy to pull out. Not difficult by any means. I don't know if it's dandruff or what? Should we commence with cleaning all our stuff in our house? I just wanna get rid of it. As I can't stand it. Any advice would be great. P.S. We are currently doing the mayonaise trick again but for this time 2 hours.
Open Question: friends taking undue advantage of our hospitality? our friends who come from abroad, stay with us, but what pisses me off is when they all put their dirty feet on our new sofas, their unruly children who corrupt ours, consume all food and drink from our fridge and cupboards, ask to light the gas fire in the living room, take over the drinks cabinet (alcohol) and bring head lice with them, and garnish nose droppings everywhere without any sense of shame, drop food around the table, no table manners, sleeping late and making my children sleep late, watch trash TV, taking over the TV remote control....worst of all my wife is overly warm and hospitable towards them and spends on quality expensive food, when they don't really understand the difference - when I am always counting the pennies, especially as I have not found work for nearly six months. Could someone let me know how to deal with this and still keep their friendship?
Voting Question: Head Lice - science project? I'm doing a sciene project on head lice, hahah and i need to know if you shave all your hair off will the head lice be gone or not? thank
Voting Question: What is the best remedy for head lice? Had them for eight weeks and tried EVERYTHING, including Ovide paid for out of pocket as I have no insurance.
Voting Question: Head Lice for over a year, serious question...? I know this is nasty but I need serious answers please. Ok last December my sister (she is 12 now) came home with head lice. I basically knew it was head lice but my parents were like no it is not. So she had it for a few weeks before they finally started treating her. Well by that time I also had it (I am 16 now) and so did my sisters friend. We did call the school and they didn't care and they told us we could come back to school and our school never checks heads or anything. We have tried all of the normal treatment over the last year. OTC lice shampoo, prescription shampoo, we nit comb our hair, home remedies, vacumming, washing our bed things, putting stuffed animals in a plastic bag.... Now my sister gets it on and off. Like she won't have any for a week and the next week she will have a TON. We think she is getting them from her friends house even though her friend dosen't have any. We also think that they might be living in my sisters bed. As of right now she is the only one who has them bad and I have a few but nothing major... Any suggestions?? Thanks!! I'm ME - Yeah we already bought those really nice nit combs... Oh yeah I forgot to add that we both have pretty thick hair that is like shoulder length.... ginarene... - We already use the tea tree oil too... See we have tried everything!!
Voting Question: Annoying itchy scalp..Need relief.? Its mostly itchy to the back of my scalp and hairline. When I scratch I'll get flaky bits under my nails & sometimes a bit of blood. It's been ongoing for more than 18months. Its not immensely itchy..just annoying. I don't think its head lice. I've been searching online for answers & come up with scalp dermatitis. Anyone with the same symptoms? I've used head & shoulders shampoo on & off but does not seem to help. No hair loss experienced. I thought I'll see what other products I can use before I see a dermatologist. Thanks.
Voting Question: My sister has head lice, am I gonna get it? What should I do? I was wrapped in a blanket of hers!! :( what should i do? i'm not itching like she was.
